The Story of Vampire Penguin
Vampire Penguin is a Penguin who lives in the North Pole. And even though there aren't any other penguins in the North Pole, Vampire Penguin lives there because he is a Vampire. His large and lingering best friends is a walrus who also thinks he is a Vampire, but he is not, he is just a walrus. Vampire Penguin is also in love with a strong and beautiful Polar Bear name Paula Bear. Stylishly eerie, Vampire Penguin rules the polar skies. But behind his nonchalant eyes, Vampire Penguin truly misses his penguin family longs to be with them. Hence, he conjures delicious shaved snow magic to bring friends and families together.

Hello and thank you for letting us share our love for icy desserts with you!
So, why Vampire Penguin?
My brother and I grew up in the Philippines, where we loved ice candy — our version of otter pops — a treat that’s been close to our hearts ever since. When we moved to the U.S. in 2000, we discovered all kinds of frozen desserts: snow cones, Hawaiian shaved ice, and Taiwanese shaved ice.
Each had something special, and when we decided to open our own shop in 2013, we set out to combine the best parts of them all — the fine texture of Hawaiian ice, the creaminess of Taiwanese ice, and the nostalgic fun of an American snow cone.
The result was something totally new — light, fluffy, and creamy all at once — a dessert that felt almost impossible. That’s where the name Vampire Penguin came from: a playful way to describe something that shouldn’t exist… but deliciously does.
We chose Penguin for its connection to ice, and Vampire for that unexpected, otherworldly twist that made our shaved snow unlike anything else. When we shared the idea with our friend Kathleen, she brought our quirky vision to life by sketching the original mascot — and just like that, the story, characters, and world of Vampire Penguin were born.
Our brand is inspired by the things we grew up loving — horror movies, vampire legends, dark cartoons, and a little Batman-style mischief — all blended with the warmth of family, friendship, and creativity.
Most of all, Vampire Penguin has always been about more than dessert. It’s about bringing friends and families together to share joy, laughter, and a little shaved snow magic.
